Reception – Forest School

What a great first session our new Reception pupils had up in the Forest School area this morning. After being shown the different areas and equipment, and how to use them safely, pupils were free to explore for themselves and lead their own learning. They enjoyed making food in the mud kitchen, testing their climbing and balancing skills on the ninja line and treehouse and created sculptures in our new sand pit. We even managed to find time to see the guinea pigs for a cuddle  whilst discussing how to behave around animals and the features of the guinea pig house and enclosure.
