EYFS – Newsletter – 13/09/24
Our first week of full-days has been and gone! The children have done remarkably well and quickly adapted to school-life. Our first topic of ‘All About Me’ has seen the children exploring their 5 senses, drawing self portraits and creating silly faces with the Play-doh. We have also been talking about the people special to us and sharing photos of our families. Thank you so much for sharing your pictures with us, we’ve had a brilliant response and it’s been great to have a chance to get to know the children better. We have been giving the children opportunity to share their photos with the class, so if your child has not yet shared theirs it will happen next week (we’ve had so many to get through!).

This week, this children have continued to explore our various areas in Reception and familiarise themselves with the routines of school life. It has also been a delight to see friendships developing and seeing how brilliantly the class are able to share space and resources politely and respectfully.
On Wednesday, Reception had their first Reading Buddies session. Each week, we will be getting together with the Year 6 children in Class 10 to share books and read together. This is a lovely way to make friendships and help to build a love of reading together.
Next week is week 2 (no P.E. kit or Forest Schools clothes required!).
Have a great weekend!
