Tony Peek Visit

We had such a great day with poet Tony Peek. The day began with a whole school assembly initially led by some of our amazing Reading Reps who introduced Tony to the children. Throughout the day, he had every single pupil who worked with him completely captivated. His engaging, fun delivery had everyone engaged, inspired by poetry and roaring with laughter. Tony then worked throughout school delivering workshops across Key Stage 2. The children had such a wonderful experience of hearing other poems, playing word games and writing their own poetry- they have been left with a love for poetry and inspired to create more! He has even inspired staff members who spent their lunchtime writing and sharing poems in the staffroom! Thank you Tony for helping us raise the profile of poetry and engaging our pupils in the wonderful world of poems!
