Reception class have had a great start to the week, with all the children visiting Tropical World across the past three days. As part of our new ‘Amazing Animals’ topic, we relished the opportunity to get a close look at some beautiful creatures from tropical rainforest and desert climates. Our visits gave us a first hand experience of the warm and humid habitats that these animals inhabit in the wild, which really helps us to better understand differences in climates around the world and how this is reflected in the different animals that inhabit various countries.
We were all glad to step into the tropical warmth after the spell of arctic weather we’ve had in January up until now! The children had a fantastic time and were all so polite and respectful as we moved through the exhibits and asked some really good questions to help them better know and understand the many animals we saw.
