UKS2 – Class 8 & 9 – Maths

Today in maths, orange group attempted to multiply mixed numbers by integers. Using tangibles to help us, the children answered a series of questions in their books and worked  in pairs to address our misconceptions.

Blue group practised converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions by playing dominoes. Using their whiteboards for working out, and their partners to help address misconceptions; the children practised the skills we learnt before Easter.

Finally, yellow group worked with Mrs Wilson-Hill, multiplying fractions by integers. Using bar models to help, the children completed a range of calculations to secure their knowledge.
