UKS2 – Climate Change Day
Today the children in UKS2 participated in a Climate Change Day, aiming to educate our children on the urgent and devastating effects of climate change. Rising global temperatures, extreme weather events, and the loss of biodiversity pose significant threats to our world, making it imperative that younger generations are informed and engaged.
We were honoured to have two representatives from the National Grid team visit us, where they facilitated an interactive Now>Press>Play experience, immersing students in the challenges and realities of climate change. This was followed by a discussion time, allowing the children to pose thoughtful questions and gain deeper insights.
Furthermore, our students showcased their understanding through a variety of creative projects, including captivating presentations, music compositions, raps, inspirational speeches, artwork, and dances. Their enthusiasm and creativity highlighted not only their awareness of climate change but also their commitment to becoming champions for a sustainable future.
