UKS2 – Newsletter – 02/10/2020

On Monday this week, UKS2 had another Victorian themed Forest School day. Using that topic as inspiration, the children foraged for components in the school grounds to design and make their own Victorian loom. They will use these components in future lessons to construct and decorate their looms, exploring the functionality, durability and aesthetics of their pieces.

On Thursday, UKS2 took to the school field to partake in some English themed role play. After being introduced to Sherlock Holmes and the adventure of the Greek Interpreter in class this week, the pupils were challenged to role play the interactions between the famous detective and his brother, Mycroft. The children succeeded in encapsulating Sherlock’s abrasive personality and began to delve deeper into the relationships in the story. Well done!

Finally, our UKS2 learnatics this week are:  Ameen and Yasmine (Class 8), Amaan and Jasper (Class 9) and Mariam and Jenson (Class 10).

All of these children have displayed exemplary behaviour this week, consistently following instructions and going above and beyond for their class community. Well done all of you, keep up the hard work.

Ooh Aah, you’re a star!!
