UKS2 – Newsletter – 14.03.25
It has been a busy week in UKS2!
In science, UKS2 were exploring the phases of the moon. After learning the cause of the moons apparent change in appearance, the children modelled the phenomenon using a torch, a tennis ball and a football. They then created their own scientific poster to explain their understanding of this change.
In PE, UKS2 used their steps from last week’s lesson to create their own version of the Haka. They practiced, perfected and performed their final combinations in front of the rest of the class, focusing on fluency and rhythm. Well done everyone!
In French, the children learnt the different names of shops found in France. Then, they applied this and their learning from last week to describe the position of a shop. Finally, they listened to an extract of someone describing their town and they had to add relevant information to a town map based on what they heard.
