UKS2 – Newsletter – 20.01.23
What a fantastic week in UKS2 it’s been!
This week in science, the children explored the effect of air resistance on objects. First, they drew a force arrow diagram into their books to explain the effect of air resistance on a sky diver. Afterwards they drew a results table, then conducted their own investigations to explore air resistance.
This week, the children in Miss Chambers’ maths class continued to strengthen their understanding of multiples, factors and prime numbers. They had a series of ‘true or false’ statements and they had to justify their decision.
This week, the children in Mr Kershaw’s maths class went outside for their learning to investigate fraction of an amount!

Lastly, well done to our learnatics this week: Jack, Adam (class 8), Mia, Kazaf (class 9), Toka and Rosie (class 10). You’re stars!
Monday (23.01.23) is our cross-curricular day, so children will need to be in forest school clothing please – remember to wear layers, it’ll be cold!
Have a great weekend!
