UKS2 Newsletter – 20.09.24
What a fantastic week it has been in UKS2!
Pupils in UKS2 enjoyed a day basking in some later summer warmth and sunshine whilst doing Forest School today. As it was their first session with Mr Gamble and with this half-term’s unit of work all to do with fire, groups were tasked to create a fire and keep it alive in order to roast marshmallows. After some quick recapping of safety, children had to draw on their knowledge and skills from last year of fire lays, the ‘fire triangle’ and teamwork in order to achieve the set goal.
This week, we had another Reading Buddy class swap. This time Class 10 went to join EYFS on the reception playground to read and share stories together in the sunshine.
Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our Year 6 residential meeting this week. For those of you that were not able to come, please find attached below a letter that outlines some of the key information about the trip. You should now see a section on your Parent Pay account for paying off the residential. If you have any questions about the trip, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
