UKS2 – Newsletter – 22.11.2019

It has been another fantastic week in UKS2! In history, pupils were given fact files on a range of influential Ancient Greeks. Using their RIC skills they had to pull out achievements of these different people and explain how they have impacted the modern world. They then used these arguments to debate from their opinion corners, providing justifications for their points of view. After an excellent debate, we concluded that both Aristotle and Archimedes have had major impacts on today’s society.

Pupils in Class 9 have had their weekly session from swap (School Wellbeing Activity Programme). All students developed their knowledge and understanding of high and low intensity exercise and how this can help with your physical and mental health.

In Class 10 this week, we have been developing our speaking and listening skills based around basic classroom commands in French. After becoming familiar with the phrases, we played a game of ‘Simon says…’ to check our understanding.
