UKS2 Only – Fasting for Ramadan

We are aware that we are approaching Ramadan and a number of our children will be choosing to fast throughout this period.

As always, we are keen to support our children who do this but would just like to clarify how this will be done in school and get permission from parents.

We can only support children in UKS2 (Years 5 and 6) to fast whilst at school and, due to staffing, pupils who choose to fast will still go to the hall at lunch but will not sit on a table where any food is being consumed.

We ask that you please fill out the form giving permission for your child to fast at school, ensuring you give permission for school to provide your child with a drink or snack should they show signs of requiring something.
