What a fantastic World Book Day it has been! It was fantastic to see the children dressed-up as characters from a plethora of books.
As a school we explored books themed on ‘food’ and we read ‘The Little Taco Truck’. Following on this, the children became entrepreneurs and created their own taco truck business!
Over the course of the day, the children devised their own creative slogans, logos and trucks. They applied their English skills to generate memorable slogans and their DT skills when creating their truck and logo designs. Also, they wrote a recipe, being mindful of the nutrition of their taco, so that their staff could ultimately make their tacos in their truck. Finally, they used their mathematics skills to work out the cost of their taco.
We finished the day by enjoying the tacos that they had designed, prepared and made.
