Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School
What a lovely morning to be outside doing Forest School sessions! Firstly, the younger group discussed how hygiene and health were important to wellbeing before turning our attention to the wellbeing of our beautiful guinea pigs. We all agreed their hutch could do with a spring clean and each animal had a good brush by the children. The guinea pigs certainly enjoyed themselves as they kept very still throughout! The older group put the finishing touches to what will hopefully be our ‘living’ sunflower room. After adding compost to a pre-prepared trench, pupils then worked together to plant over 100 young plants and seeds in the hope they will grow tall and act as a wall around the central point. We installed canes for support and protection. Fingers crossed the weather, slugs and snails are kind to our sunflowers as they grow.
