Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School

Pupils in Wellbeing Wednesday groups this week have been building up to this weekend’s Big Garden Birdwatch run by the RSPB which is now in its 26th year and is the world’s largest garden wildlife survey- over 600,000 people took part in 2024. Children today have learnt about the birds we have in the school grounds by going on a bird walk where we spotted TEN different species of bird in only 15 minutes! We were all very excited to see them and then use books and guides to help identify them by their colours and song! Groups then could choose from a range of bird related activities including bird watching, making paper plate birds, bird feeders for either our school grounds or to take home for their gardens or making their own charcoal paint to paint pictures of birds.
