Wellbeing Wednesday – Forest School
We have loved the sunshine today in our sessions despite the chilly start! Both groups today focused on a little bit of ground maintenance and how doing some physical jobs outside isn’t only good for developing healthy habits and bodies but how they can also make us feel good. Younger pupils raked our wildflower area before scattering a wide range of new wildflower seeds which we are looking forward to seeing grow. The older children completed their animal habitat project by sanding down the final bird boxes for our school site as well as giving our new hedgehog box a checking over to ensure it is ready to be put out for hedgehogs to (hopefully) nest in over the summer. After completing the tasks, both groups got to enjoy a well-deserved treat by roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Well done every one!
