Willow Dome – Forest School

Pupils in Reception and Year 4 enjoyed some late winter sunshine today helping to create a willow dome on the school field. Led by Mark Collier who runs and owns his own willow weaving company Out of the Woods, children created a base, planted willow, bent them into shape and tied them together to create the dome structure. As it grows, the dome house will be used for a variety of reasons including topic and science related learning, outdoor reading and role play.
