Y5/6 Only – Climate Action Day – Response Needed
Reminder: please see below
On Wednesday 26th June, we have been given the fantastic opportunity to take part in a Climate Action Day at Leeds Trinity University. The pupils will be taking part in three workshops in order to answer a ‘Big Question’ about the the world and climate action. The day is completely free of charge and lunch is provided by the university for all pupils!
Ordinarily, we would organise transport for the day but we haven’t been able to do this as there are no coaches available. The one quote we have had, has come back at over £5000!
We are desperate for our children to attend so we have a couple of options:
Option 1
Children arrive at school as normal and walk to and from the university. This does provide the children with a long walk at the start and end of the day and with the weather improving could prove a difficult walk.
Option 2
Parents/carers to drop their children at Leeds Trinity University at 9.45am and collect their children at 2.30pm. Children would still gain their attendance mark for the day but wouldn’t come to school on the morning. Parents would need to make sure their child can be dropped and collected.
Please fill in the form below outlining which option you would prefer and give permission for your child to attend.
