Y5 – Campfire Cooking – Forest School

Building on their knowledge of campfires, Year 5 were challenged in teams to use kelly kettles to create hot chocolate. Making a fire lay inside a kettle base is a tricky, complicated and delicate job but one the children persevered with and, some on their fifth attempts, were all able to start a fire. Remaining safe in adding the kettle, feeding the fire and managing their risk, teams then heated the water further before pouring into cups to enjoy a tasty reward for their hard work. Well done!
