Y6 – DWF – World of Work Visit

Over the course of the last two days, half of Year 6 have visited DWF, one of the countries leading law firms, and gained an insight in to what working as a solicitor might be like. They experienced what commuting to and from work would be like by walking to Horsforth train station (going was much easier than returning!) and getting the train in to Leeds. They explored the offices, spoke with solicitors and directors of the company and the sessions culminated in a fantastic court room debate. We also used the trip to explore and discuss human and physical geographical features – especially where the children could see the river meet the canal!
