Y6 – Pancakes – Forest School

This half-term, Year 6 have designed their own Forest School sessions before they leave us at the end of the term for high school! Today, they chose to increase their repertoire of outdoor cooking by trying to make pancakes outside on an open fire. Combining their fire making and food technology knowledge, pupils worked in teams to follow a simple pancake recipe, light a fire and then cook pancakes for the entire group. After adding a topping of their choice (either chocolate, strawberry, sugar, syrup or lemon, they all tucked in and the consensus about outdoor pancakes was a resounding success!
