Year 3 – Forest School

This afternoon Year 3 have had a wonderful time exploring our Forest School area and working on a range of skills. Following on from our previous session with the equipment, we discussed risk, danger and how to manage this safely across all the equipment to ensure we keep ourselves and each other safe. Pupils used the mud kitchen and sandpit for imaginative play which opened up a lot of conversation and discussion around different ideas and things they could create, including castles with underground dungeons and sand animals! Children also had the opportunity to practice their fire skills by using flint and steel to create mini fires in our fire pit – once again managing their risk whilst doing so. Well done Year 3!
