Year 3 – Games – Forest School

In glorious winter sunshine and despite the cold, Year 3 progressed their skills in Forest School games. After playing some familiar ones, children began thinking about how to create brand new Forest School games. Together, children discussed how to make a game fun and fair with rules and also how to win – would their game be one on one with a winner and loser, a paired game to score more points than another pair or team challenges? There were lots of imaginative games created using only sticks and blindfolds and we all had fun having a go at the games we’d made. This will develop more in the next session where children will have a wider choice of resources and longer to revise their game for us all to try!
