Year 3 – Now Press Play, PE, Maths, 24.02.25
This week in Year 3, we’ve had an absolutely fantastic time using Now Press Play! The children loved wearing their headphones, allowing them to imagine they were part of an exciting Roman adventure. They used their oracy skills to share ideas and acted out different roles, bringing ancient Roman stories to life. It was incredible to see their faces light up as they engaged in discussions and collaborated with one another.
In addition to these imaginative activities, our Roman-themed art lessons have been a huge success! The students expressed their creativity by creating beautiful mosaics, just like the Romans did. They enjoyed mixing colours and arranging tiles, showcasing their artistic talents.
We have also used this week to recap and practice our 3, 4, and 8 times table. We worked in teams to complete different challenges to see who has the quickest times table recall!
Furthermore, PE lessons were particularly exciting this week. The children had a thrilling time playing quick cricket, improving their hand-eye coordination and teamwork skills. They learned how to bowl, bat, and work together as a team, all while having lots of fun! Overall, this week has not only enhanced their comprehension skills but also allowed them to develop important physical education skills in a lively and engaging way.
