Year 3 – Stone Age Day – Forest School
Pupils in Year 3 threw themselves into our Forest School’s day and revelled in the chance to ‘survive a day in the Stone Age.’ Tribes worked together to create a shelter, tribe standard and solved a range of problems in order to be a successful and powerful group. Pupils turned into hunter gatherers in order to provide food for themselves and sourced natural materials to create hunting weapons to catch their food or trade with other tribes. Tribes were also tasked with creating medicine and clothes to keep their tribe healthy as well as creating fire using flints to cook the food they’d ‘hunted’ or gathered throughout our Stone Age scenarios across the day.
