Year 4 – Games – Forest School

This afternoon, Year 4 developed their knowledge and skills of ooutdoor games in Forest School by beginning to create their own. After playing some familiar ones, children began thinking about how to create brand new Forest School games. Together, children discussed how to make a game fun and fair with rules and also how to win – would their game be one on one with a winner and loser, a paired game to score more points than another pair or team challenges? There were lots of imaginative games created using only sticks and blindfolds and we all had fun having a go at the games we’d made. This will develop more in the next session where children will have a wider choice of resources and longer to revise their game for us all to try!
