Year 5/6 – Class 8, 9 and 10 – Forest School
Throughout the day during Forest School activities, all of the UKS2 pupils have been developing their geography knowledge and looking at the city states of Greece. Pupils identified a number of them, including Athens, Sparta, Corinth and Syracuse and recreated them using different materials that they found outside. All students were also given the opportunity to recreate a camp that would have been used for hoplites (the most common type of heavily armed foot-soldier in ancient Greece). As the weather improved, Forest School tools were brought out to help construct our own labyrinths.
