This week in maths, UKS2 were asked to work in small groups and use measuring equipment to develop a fun activity that would show they understood measure. The activity explored finding the perimeter and area of a shape or converting measurements. Each group was shown how to use the different pieces of equipment and had a white board and pen for working out. All the groups came up with a fun and exciting activity, including: measuring throwing distance, measuring the height of trees and calculating the area of the football pitch. One team even managed to create a catapult to throw apples!
